Banff Engagement Session | Summer Engagement Sessions | Banff, AB

I loved this engagement session with Mike and Jen so much! We had a lovely time exploring areas within and around Lake Minnewanka for a lovely late summer session. I am so pleased I got to work with these two beautiful people. Here are my favourite images from our time together. I am so excited to photograph these two again for their wedding this summer near Calgary, AB. I hope you enjoy!

Warm wishes, xo

Liana and Michael | Canmore, AB Wedding

I loved getting to work with Michael and Liana for their wedding in Canmore, Alberta this past August 2015. Their wedding day called for quite a bit of rain and occasional thunder storms. It rained (very hard) when we wanted it to, and cleared just enough to provide some really lovely, moody wedding photos when we wanted the rain to stop.

This couple loves the outdoors so much. It is ingrained in their past times, their work and their connection to one another. It was so great to work with them, and know that going outside for portraits was the only options for the day. I also loved their decorations for their wedding! Lots of outdoor themed table settings and name cards were made by the Bride herself. She did such a great job!

The couple got ready in beautiful rooms provided by Solara Resort and Spa in Canmore, AB. The mood was light, relaxed, but full of excitement for the day ahead. Michael and Liana got married at Our Lady of the Rockies Parish in Canmore, AB. It was my first time photographing a wedding at this church. The service was lovely.

After an afternoon of wandering the valley bottoms and some hillside sites in the Canmore area, we retreated from the cool weather to the comforts of the Cornerstone Theatre for the reception. Lots of humorous speeches and children playing about, lead to a wonderful wrap up of their day.

Thank you, Liana and Michael, for bringing me along to document your day and feel like a member of your family. It was so great getting to work with you, and your families! Warmest wishes for a great life adventuring alongside each other. Many blessings to you both, xo

I would also like to thank Andrew Lunt Photography for coming out and offering a hand at their wedding.

Mount Engadine Lodge ~ Intimate Fall Wedding

Getting to photograph this wedding was pure privilege, and a pleasure. I adore how these two love each other. They wear their love for one another, on their sleeves, right next to their big, beautiful, open hearts. I have only known Craig and Lindsay for a short period of time, but any time I have spent with them, I couldn't help but admire how they loved each other.

On this particular day in October, the air was crisp with the feeling of winter approaching in the mountains of Kananaskis Country, AB. The light was soft with clouds moving in and out, delivering the occasional dusting of snowflakes mixed with sunshine. It was a perfect fall day!

Mount Engadine Lodge could not have been a more ideal, photogenic place for their wedding. It's rustic mountain feel, mixed with a hint ski culture, was the perfect base for these two adventurous souls. The decor was simple, elegant and hand picked by the couple themselves. What really made the day memorable though, was the love and joy that surrounded this couple in the name of family and close friends. With a guest total reaching slightly over 15 people, only the nearest and dearest came to attend such a beautiful union.

The ceremony was filled with many loving moments, long stares of affection, warm embraces, and joyful excitement at the joining of these two. When the ceremony and family photos ended, we left Engadine Lodge to explore the natural beauty that surrounds this picturesque location. I knew when I first arrived that I could not wait to take them into the vast meadow that meets the lodge, begging you to step into it's tall, willowy field. It was in this field that I capture one of my most favourite frames of a bride. With her face turned to the sun, wearing a smile that said it all, surrounded by snowy mountains and sunlight that danced upon the field, laid one of the most beautiful scenes I have had the pleasure of photographing. I thought my heart was going to burst. I am so grateful she was willing to wander for that photo.

I hope you enjoy this heart filled, beautiful fall wedding. If anyone out there is considering an intimate fall wedding in the mountains, I couldn't recommend it more. Mount Engadine Lodge is a perfect venue for this style of wedding.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Lindsay and Craig, for having me capture your incredibly beautiful wedding. It is one I will never forget! Warm wishes for continued love and affection for one another. xo
