Rimrock Resort Hotel Wedding | Banff, AB | Vintage Wedding

I loved getting to photograph this vintage style wedding at the Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff, Alberta this past July 2016. Carlee and Mark wanted to have an intimate roof top wedding among close family and friends, surrounded by the the beautiful Canadian Rockies.

I also very much loved getting to photograph this couple within the beautiful Rimrock hotel. The couple had requested a first look within the hotel, and we found the perfect room to host this part of the day. Divas Cocktail Bar provided the perfect backdrop to host this very vintage looking wedding. It was a real treat getting to photograph this couple within a room full of black and white photographs of hollywood actors and actresses from past to present. It was the perfect backdrop for this couples first look.

These are some of my favourite photos from the day. Between the bubbly excitement the couple felt for each other getting married, to the lovely ceremony Robin White provided on a beautiful rooftop patio in the sun, all of it was a joy to photograph.

Once the ceremony and diner had passed, the couple asked for one more bride/groom portrait session at sunset. We could not have asked for better conditions for this. We had sunshine, rainbows, a beautiful sunset bride/groom portrait session and a full mood rising on a warm, clear evening in the Rockies. To add to this magic, it was a true pleasure to get to photograph such a loving couple within all of this. Thank you for bringing me along to capture your intimate wedding within the beautiful Canadian Rockies, Carlee and Mark. I wish you both a life of love and happiness together. xo

Canmore Nordic Centre Wedding | August 2015 | Jody Goodwin Photography

Such pleasure getting to photograph Lindsay and Johnny's Canmore wedding at the Canmore Nordic centre this past August, 2015 on a beautiful summer's day in the Bow Valley. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to photograph their special wedding.

The day started off with a bit of hilarity on the part of the groomsmen. I happened to mention how much I enjoy characters and people with a good sense of humour. Johnny let me know that his groomsmen were just the ticket! Between sunny beers on their deck, to lots of jokes and gentle camaraderie, the groom/groomsmen definitely had me giggling and blushing all day long. Lindsay... Those eyes, that dress and yes, your bridesmaids were a ton of fun as well! You all were so much fun to work with!

The rest of their day was filled with lots of love and celebration at the union of these two long time sweethearts. Lots of great speeches and tributes were delivered throughout their evening. One of my favourite memories from their day was a private first dance that took place outside, on their perfectly warm, clear/calm, and nearly full moon night. Definitely my favourite frames from their day.

Thank you for bringing me along to document your day, Lindsay and Johnny! I hope you enjoy each other for many, many years to come. Lots of love and well wishes to you both. xo
